☆ Araceli Pereira (Final Destination OC + selfinsert) ☆🐻
Araceli Pereira is a foreigner girl (latina), theater student (on Mt. Abraham school, years later), addicted to horror movies, who wants to be a star but always fails in her intents because of the nervous and shyness. She was obsessed with investigating about the flight 180 events too and the other visionaries.
In my original story, a theater collapsed in the middle of a performance where students from Mt. Abraham School were watching. Araceli would be crushed to death, like many others in the incident, but a visionary managed to save her and other students, like in the other movies.
Throughout the rest of the story, Araceli tries to convince herself that death doesn’t haunt her; she doesn’t want to die and leave her dreams unfulfilled. She continues to strive to achieve her goal of becoming a star.
As soon as she learned how the rules worked, coupled with her mental state beginning to crack, she was tempted to take a blade and trade her life for someone else’s, but in the end she regretted it and decided to continue living her life as long as she could, knowing that death would come for her at any moment, and she would be waiting for it.
When finally manages to get closer to her goal, ends up being crushed to death by a spotlight on stage in front of tons of people.
[Carter Horton is already dead, so she only saw him in newspapers as a survivor of Flight 180 and liked him. She feels a connection with him and says to herself that she will not end up like him, although she wouldn’t mind to accompany him.]
🏈 Final Destination AU: Carter Horton is a survivor, some years passed since the flight 180 events. Araceli and Carter meet in Mt. Abraham school; they hate each other and fight almost all the time, it is the typical dynamic of the popular guy and the nerd. He bullies her a bit for being a loser and weird but she bothers him as well.
Still, she is aware of Carter’s traumas and the events he has lived through, since the Flight 180 incident is still a sensitive topic at school and everyone knows about it, so from time to time, Araceli offers him support and behaves in a friendly way with him and tries to get closer to him, just as he tries to get closer to her sometimes, since they both struggle with depression for different reasons and they understand each other despite everything.
In this AU, Araceli ends up fulfilling her dreams, marrying Carter, starting a family, and having a successful career as a singer and actress in horror musicals.

🩷 Facts about her and the AU:: 🩷
🐻 Araceli is a huge fan of horror movies and paranormal stuff, she likes alcoholic drinks and to smoke, videogames, food, candies, plushies and cute stuff, also bad guys lol // She sometimes gets drunk when her depression gets really bad.
🎨 She loves art and to draw, enjoying some wine or tea and cigarettes meanwhile. She has a dark brown, eyeless teddy bear that her parents gave her when she was a child and she sometimes carries it around for comfort and good luck charm.
👹 Araceli has beliefs about Yōkai and feels a connection with them.
🌙 Araceli often practices magic rituals, especially during calm moments at night or outdoors when she is surrounded by nature. She tries to connect with Yōkai through this. (I have a small AU too, a bit out of FD universe, in which there are spirits in the form of black aura with pale faces that accompany Araceli.)
⭐ Alex, Clear, Tod and Billy are alive too (not Terry because I wanted to keep on the story the trauma of Carter after losing a beloved one) and yeah probably some other characters from the series that I like.
I won’t be following canon timing too closely in this AU, as I’d like to include characters from other films in the series in this story.

🩷EXTRA:: Ship Dynamic 🩷
The relationship between Carter and Araceli began as one of enmity. Carter was still sensitive about the events of Flight 180 and the loss of Terry, so he felt particularly annoyed when Araceli entered the school as a new foreigner student with her bad English and began associating with Clear, Billy, and Alex as friends, appearing overly friendly and “loud,” which caused Carter to distrust and feel irritated. He began teasing her and calling her mocking nicknames like weirdo or nerd. At first, Araceli didn’t respond much to him because she was still new to the school and was intimidated by Carter’s behavior, but then she began to respond and tease him back, so they grew closer without realizing it.
After a while, Carter teased Araceli no longer out of irritation but to get closer, and finally one day they revealed that they liked each other. This ended up bringing them closer and they began to talk more deeply about their problems and traumas, and their conversations helped them heal a little each day.
Carter has become an emotional support for Araceli in her process of working hard to achieve her dream career and overcome depression, and Araceli was very patient and understanding with Carter as he struggled with past traumas, searching for ways to overcome his anger issues.
🩷EXTRA:: Friendship 🩷
Araceli arrived at school filled with fear and nerves. Her English wasn’t the best, and she spent a lot of time alone the first few days. However, she met Clear Rivers after seeing her reading a book she also liked, and they started talking right away.
During those days, Araceli met Billy Hitchcock in one of her classes. He was very kind to her from the start and offered to help her learn more about the school and how the student system worked.
Over time, the friendship between Araceli and other students grew. Her friends are mostly those classified as “weird” or “nerdy” at school.
